Had a pre-Easter lunch with family and when I got home, spent time in the garage. While I still haven’t found the missing wing vent glass, I went ahead and installed the new fuzzy track in the wing vent vertical channel. I used some 3M windshield cement and taped it down so it was mounted flush in the channel.

I also found a set of new vent window mounting hardware. So far, I have the new idler track in hand, though it is missing the nut on the track for mounting purposes. I haven’t compared the new track to the old one to make sure its the same, but will.
The new wing vent frame and the window track should arrive tomorrow. The glass will arrive a few days from now — or that’s my hope. I have a tube of urethane cement that will arrive tomorrow to mount the wing vent.
I did a little clean up in the garage as well. I cut up cardboard boxes and bagged a couple of bags of garbage. Tomorrow I’ll check out the fuzzy track install and cut off the extra length that I don’t need. I probably could also install the fuzzy track on the garnish moldings and the door shell edge, as well as the fuzzy track that goes on one side and above the door glass. There’s more I can do to help the process.
I need to pick up some small mounting screws to secure the track on the doorshell edge. There’s still time to make that happen.
I hope I can get the driver’s door rehab complete before Easter Sunday. We’ll see. I’m anxious to have the car ready to go back on the road.
