I’m working on ideas that may improve turnout for the Whiskey City Cruisers monthly car cruises in Bardstown. The cruisers’ events are different because there’s no judging. It isn’t a show, but a cruise. More laid back, no trophies, no competition.

So far, here’s what my wife and I have come up with.
MORE TO DO. My wife suggested corn hole as an activity for kids or their parents.
CAR COLORING PAGES. Make a space where kids can color.
FREE WATER. Have cold water FREE to all participants AND spectators. Will need coolers, ice, water.
50/50 RAFFLE. Sell tickets, split the pot with the winner. Use proceeds initially to buy waters for the next month’s cruise.
VIEWERS CHOICE? Let people vote on their favorite car that day they saw.
That’s a start, anyway. I need to talk to Steve Campbell about it … he was handed the “keys to the kingdom” for the cruisers from Jim Boles before he died, so I need to respect that linage. And by proposing these ideas, I’m also committing myself to making sure they happen!
