Been one helluva busy weekend for me and the 55 Chevy wagon.

On Friday, we drove to the Depot Street Car Show in Bloomfield. They had more than 175 cars, big crowd, beautiful weather!

Today (Sunday), the local car club had its monthly cruise. We had more than 80 cars, which pretty much filled up the parking lot.

At both events, my son took photos of the cars, and so far, we’ve heard rave reviews about my son’s photos. He did a good job. This time he used my old Canon DSLR Rebel T whatever. Canon has discontinued making digital SLRs but as long as mine works, I’ll keep using it.

Had a good time at the cruise, though participants began pulling out fairly early. The cruise began at noon, with a big crowd by the time I arrived at 12:30 p.m. But some of the first cars began leaving by about 2:30 p.m. to 3 p.m. I stayed until 4:30 or so. By that time Steve began tearing down the tents, and we were down to just a handful of guys still hanging around.

NEXT EVENT — THIS FRIDAY. Oil Pros in Springfield is having a car show at their business off KY 55 north of Springfield. I’m going to pick up my wife from her work and we’ll go — provided the weather is good.

The forecast for the week looks great — sunny or mostly sunny every day, with highs in the low to mid-80s. Friday looks excellent!

NEW DASH CAM. I tried out a new dash cam that I installed in my 55 Chevy. It worked great today on my way to town, though the exposure looked blown out, so I need to dial back the exposure. More experimentation. I’ll take the Chevy to the Burger King and try the camera again.
